At this month's Housing Forum webinar we are delighted to welcome Tom Gilligan, Director of Housing with Mayo County Council, to discuss the issue of vacant housing. Mayo County Council operates a vacant housing Shared Service, vacanthomes.ie, on behalf of the Local Government sector. It is a central portal for individuals to anonymously log possible vacant properties and alert local authorities who can then follow up with the owners to see whether the house can be re-used quickly.
